Iran’s deaf futsal players have maintained superiority at the 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup in Thailand, and breezed past Algeria in a one-sided match.
On Saturday, the Iranian sportsmen proved their dominance throughout the game, which was played at the BYC-Keelavej 1 Stadium in the Thai capital city of Bangkok, and earned a well-deserved 11-1 win against the opposite side.
The hearing-impaired Iranian futsal players beat the Japanese team 6-3 in their opening fixture on Friday, and will take on Switzerland in their next showdown on October 22.
Iran is in Group B along with Algeria, Japan, Norway, Russia and Switzerland. Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, Thailand and Uzbekistan form Group A.
Meanwhile, Iranian women's deaf futsal squad conceded a 0-5 defeat to England in its first match. The outfit will play against Denmark in its last group stage encounter on Saturday.
Iranian deaf female futsal players are pitted against teams from Denmark and England in Group D.
While China, Italy, Sweden and Thailand are in Group A; Japan, Russia and Spain play in Group B. Brazil, Germany and Norway are drawn in Group C.
The 2015 Deaf Futsal World Cup started in Bangkok, Thailand on November 20, and will finish on November 28.
