Resistance against Israel

Sheikh Naim Qassem has delivered his first speech since being elected as Hezbollah's secretary General, vowing to press on with the war plans outlined by the late Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. Sheikh Naim Qassem said Israeli plots to weaken the resistance resolve through assassinations of its leaders have failed and only further strengthened the group. He stressed Hezbollah managed to re-organize and regain power only after 10 days of heavy losses. He said Israel has not abided by any international ruling, and has violated Lebanon’s sovereignty 39,000 times since 2006. Hezbollah leader stressed the group does not seek conflict, but has prepared for an all-out war amid Israel’s constant provocations. Naim Qassem hailed Iran's’ role in supporting the resistance, but emphasized Hezbollah is not fighting on behalf of any country and its operations are aimed at protecting Lebanon and supporting Gaza.

Israel UNRWA ban

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, says newly passed Israeli laws effectively banning its activities in the Occupied Palestine will leave a vacuum that will cost more lives and create further instability in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Response to Israeli aggression

Iran’s defense minister Aziz Nasirzadeh has said his country will prudently respond to the latest Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic. He was speaking with reporters following a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, four days after Iranian air defenses intercepted the missiles fired by Israel.
