Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has embarked on a two-leg visit to Bahrain and Kuwait for talks and consultations aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.

Heading a delegation, Araghchi arrived in the Bahraini capital Manama on Monday in his latest flurry of regional visits across West Asia aimed at discussing ways to end the crimes of Israel in Lebanon and Gaza.

Earlier in the day, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters that the top diplomat’s travel to Bahrain and Kuwait is part of Iran’s efforts to develop peace in the region.

In just over two weeks, the Iranian foreign minister visited Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Turkey.

His talks with the countries’ officials have focused on bilateral and regional issues, including Israeli acts of crime and aggression against the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

Israel has massacred over 42,600 people in the Gaza Strip and nearly 2,500 in Lebanon since October 2023.

In support of Palestinians in Gaza, the Resistance front has launched retaliatory strikes on Israeli targets and vowed to keep fighting until the barbarism in Gaza ends.
