US-Israeli Gaza genocide

More Palestinians are killed in Gaza as the Israeli regime continues to pound the blockaded territory with unrelenting air and artillery strikes. In one of the deadliest attacks, at least nine people, including women and children, were killed and over 30 others injured in Israel’s bombing of a Palestinian home in the center of Gaza City. In Rafah, southern Gaza, the Civil Defense said at least four people were killed after Israeli warplanes targeted displaced people there. In a separate strike in Rafah, three people were killed, and several others injured in a drone strike north of the city. The Israeli aggression, which began in October, has so far claimed the lives of more than 40-thousand 8-hundred and injured over 94-thousand others. Hunger, malnutrition and lack of medical supplies are also taking their toll on the Gaza population.

'US partner in Israel crimes'

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, says the US has been a long-standing partner in Israeli crimes in Gaza, continuously throwing its political, military and security support behind the regime. Senior Hamas official, Osama Hamdan, rejected Washington’s new proposals as containing nothing new, which are only aimed at buying time for Israel to commit more crimes. Hamdan urged Washington to pressure Netanyahu into abiding by an already-agreed-upon deal on July the 2d, instead of proposing new initiatives. According to Hamdan, Israel’s full withdrawal from all Gaza, including the Philadelphi Corridor and a permanent ceasefire are part of that deal and the resistance will not back down from its demands. The remarks come as the White House says a new initiative for a Gaza ceasefire is set to be announced on Friday.

Anti-Netanyahu protest

Israelis have once again flooded the streets to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right cabinet for their failure to secure the release of captives held in Gaza. Tens of thousands gathered in several cities, including Rehovot, Hod Hasharon and Tel Aviv, to denounce Netanyahu for systematically obstructing a ceasefire for his personal and political gains. In some areas, protesters set fire and blocked streets, prompting Israeli forces to clash with them. They also slammed the new conditions for the Gaza truce, which includes the regime’s control over areas such as the Netzarim axis as well as the Rafah crossing. Demonstrators vowed to continue their protests until all captives are released. Netanyahu is in hot water over his handling of the Gaza war and reluctance to make a ceasefire.
