Israeli genocide in Gaza

New reports of death and destruction in Gaza as Israeli forces launch more deadly strikes on the central and southern parts of the besieged strip. Palestinian medical sources have confirmed at least 13 people have been killed in the latest Israeli bombings in Nuseirat, Deir al-Balah in the center and Khan Younis in the south. Also in Khan Younis, a Palestinian journalist was wounded while covering the Israeli ground invasion in southern Gaza, a day after another journalist was killed by Israeli tank fire in Hamad city. The death of 26-year-old Ibrahim Mahbub has increased the number of the media crew killed in the Gaza war to 169. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the total number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli regime’s genocide since early October has topped 40,100. More than 92,000 people have also been injured.

Palestinians pledge to retaliate

Palestinian resistance movements, Hamas and Islamic Jihad have claimed responsibility for an explosion that hit the Israeli commercial hub, Tel Aviv on Sunday. The movements say they will not stop carrying out such operations as long as Israel continues its onslaught on the Gaza Strip. The blast has left at least one person dead and another injured. The incident took place in the southern parts of Tel Aviv where a bomb was reportedly planted in a truck. Israeli security forces say the man responsible for the bombing was a Palestinian from Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

"Enforce the Leahy law"

A coalition of delegates to the Democratic National Convention has slammed the party’s 2024 platform for its failure to demand a ceasefire in Gaza and a US arms embargo on Israel. The pro-Palestine group, delegates against genocide, urged the party to enforce the Leahy Law. If used, the legal order will prohibit US military assistance to foreign security forces that commit gross human rights violations. The group has also called on the rest of the delegates to follow suit and vote against the party’s platform. The 4-day Convention will be held amid tight security measures imposed by the Chicago Police and federal law enforcement officers. On Sunday, thousands of protesters marched across the city, asking for an immediate ceasefire and a proper response from the Democratic Party. As we speak protesters have gathered outside the democratic national convention center in Chicago protesting the Biden administration's support for Israel.
