The Iranian men’s national basketball B team has gone down to its second defeat at the 2017 William Jones Cup in Taiwan, being defeated against the South Korean squad.
The Iranian outfit lost to the East Asian team 78-88 in a match played at Taipei Peace International Basketball Hall in New Taipei City on Monday.
The achievement came a day after Iranian basketball players registered their first victory at the 2017 William Jones Cup, defeating the Republic of China White side. The Iranian team overcame the Taiwanese outfit 77-59.
The Iranian sportsmen suffered an 84-90 defeat from Lithuania in their opening match on July 15.
The Iranian men’s national basketball B team will return to action on Tuesday to play India.
The 2017 William Jones Cup started in Taiwan on July 15 and will run until July 23. The event is a top-level international basketball tournament of Fédération Internationale de Basket-ball (FIBA) Asia.
