As many as 120 Palestinians have perished across the Gaza Strip over the past two days as the Israeli regime keeps up its genocidal war against the coastal sliver.
The regime’s atrocities also wounded 205 others throughout Gaza during the period, the territory’s health ministry reported.
The fatalities included two people, who were killed near the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the city of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, seven others, who lost their lives during the regime’s attack against the Zaqout family in the city, and seven more, including three children, who were killed in an Israeli strike on a house belonging to the Abu Shaker Shaldan family in Gaza City.
Detailing the aggression against the hospital, the ministry said the Israeli military had repeatedly bombed the medical center in northern Gaza, where the regime has unprecedentedly ramped up its attacks over the past 47 days.
The hospital’s director was also wounded during a drone attack on the facility.
According to the Gaza-based resistance movement Hamas, successive raids against the hospital have disabled its power generator, oxygen, and water systems, injured 12 medical staffers, and “spread terror among patients and the wounded.”
“The persistence of this fascist government, led by war criminals wanted by international justice, in conducting campaigns of brutal genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement against unarmed civilians—especially in northern Gaza—along with its criminal starvation war on over two million people in the Gaza Strip and its destruction of civilian life and hospitals, constitutes an affront to humanity, international law, and the global community as a whole,” the movement said.
It called on the international community, particularly Arab and Islamic governments, to organize deterrent sanctions against the regime.
“These sanctions must compel it to halt its barbaric aggression and flagrant violations of laws and humanitarian values, work to end the criminal siege and ethnic cleansing in northern Gaza, and enable the Palestinian people to exercise their political rights, including self-determination and establishing their state.”
The health ministry, meanwhile, recounted more Israeli attacks against Beit Lahia, saying, “Zionist forces re-entered the al-Daqqa area there with D9 bulldozers after destroying homes with a belt of fire. A number of explosive robots were brought in, followed by the bulldozers.”
The Israeli escalation has, in total, claimed the lives of 2,300 people in the northern areas, which are subject to a simultaneous comprehensive siege by the regime that has robbed the areas of all food supplies, medical aid, and means of communication.
‘967 mosques destroyed’
Also on Saturday, the Israeli military destroyed the al-Farouq Mosque in the central Gaza Strip, making it the 967th mosque to be devastated by the regime in the coastal sliver over the past 13 months.
The ministry has also declared famine in central and southern Gaza as a result of the regime’s prevention of aid materials from reaching the targeted areas and closing off all crossings there.
Also on Saturday, a resistance news outlet released a video, depicting the heart-wrenching moments of a Gazan mother’s bidding goodbye to her son, who had been killed during the regime’s attacks on the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The entire Gaza has been subject to a genocidal war by the regime since last October that has claimed the lives of 44,176 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and wounded 104,473 others so far.
