Hell in north Gaza
The Israeli regime's genocidal war on Gaza continues to claim more civilian lives across the besieged Strip, especially in the northern areas. At least 33 people have been killed and nearly 160 injured in the Israeli deadly strikes in the past day. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the Palestinian death toll since October 7 last year has topped 43,370. More than 102,260 others have also been wounded. The genocidal campaign in Jabalia and Beit Lahia, north of Gaza, has entered day 31. The regime forces also continue to disrupt civil defense in the area, leaving thousands of people without humanitarian and medical care.
Resistance reprisal
The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has launched fresh retaliatory operations targeting Israeli military positions across the occupied territories. Resistance fighters launched attacks against gatherings of Israeli troops advancing into the outskirts of Houla and Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. several military positions of the regime in the occupied lands have also come under attacks by resistance fighters. Hezbollah announced firing a barrage of missiles against Yesud HaMa’ala settlement after issuing warnings. More than 50 rockets have also been launched towards the Upper Galilee, and the occupied city of Safad. The operations are in response to the Israeli aggression against the people and resistance fighters in Gaza and also in defense of Lebanon.
Iran-Azerbaijan drills
The naval forces of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan have wrapped up joint exercises in the Caspian Sea, codenamed AZIREX-2024. Razzaghi said the drills successfully achieved their intended goals. He stressed that the exercises showed the determination of Iranian navy to ensure maritime security in cooperation with other Caspian Sea littoral states. The flotilla admiral said regional states can fully provide maritime security and the presence of trans-regional countries in this sea under any pretext is unacceptable and intolerable. The northern Fleet of the Iranian Navy hosted the two-day drills in Bandar Anzali. Two Azerbaijani vessels joined the Iranian destroyer Deylaman for aid and rescue exercises. The joint maneuvers were themed “Cooperation for Peace and Friendship.”
