Israel's war on Lebanon

Israel is continuing its aggression against Lebanon, targeting everyone from journalists to health workers to peacekeepers. Three journalists were killed and several wounded in an Israeli air strike on their accommodation in the southern Lebanese town of Hasbaiyya. Meanwhile, UN peacekeepers say Israeli soldiers once again opened fire on one of their observation posts in south Lebanon. Previous Israeli attacks on the peacekeepers had drawn worldwide condemnation. Also, Lebanon says Israeli strikes have killed more than 160 rescuers and health workers since last October. That’s when clashes broke out between the regime and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah over the war on Gaza. The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon stands at nearly 2,600.

Hezbollah retaliation

The Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, has inflicted more casualties on intruding Israeli forces and carried out further retaliatory attacks on Israeli positions in the occupied territories. The Israeli army says 5 of its soldiers were killed and 20 others injured in fighting in southern Lebanon. They were targeted by a long-range missile. Hezbollah also launched a rocket barrage on Israeli forces in the Manara settlement and targeted the Habushit barracks. Hezbollah says the attacks are in support of the Palestinian people and defense of Lebanon. In the meantime, the Israeli army said it had shot down a drone over the southern occupied Golan Heights. The drone had been fired from Syria and triggered sirens in several towns.

US-Israel Gaza genocide

Nearly 150 people were killed and injured in an Israeli attack in the Jabalia refugee camp, in northern Gaza. That’s according to Gaza’s civil defense describing the attack as a major massacre. The casualties were caused after Israel blew up nearly a dozen residential buildings in Jabalia refugee camp. The regime has also attacked other parts of northern Gaza as its military offensive there enters its third week. Troops shelled Kamal Adwan Hospital in the city of Beit Lahiya, killing several children. They’ve also besieged the hospital where more than 150 patients and staff are trapped. Meanwhile, 20 Palestinians have been killed in central Gaza, while around 30 more lost their lives in Khan Yunis, in the south. The total death toll in the Gaza Strip tops 42,800 since the start of the war last October.
