Israel Lebanon aggression

An intensive round of attacks has hit the southern Lebanese town of Nabatiyeh, killing and injuring multiple civilians. The footage shows big plumes of grey smoke rising from Nabatiyeh. That is after nearly a dozen airstrikes hit the town and its municipality buildings. The attacks killed at least 14 people, among them the town’s mayor. Search and rescue operations are still underway for those trapped under the rubble. The UN special coordinator for Lebanon has reacted to the deadly attacks, urging the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure against Israeli strikes. More than one year of Israeli aggression against the Arab country has killed more than 2,300 people so far. 

US-Israel genocide in Gaza

It is another deadly day for Palestinians across Gaza where the Israeli military continues to pound the blockaded territory with air and artillery strikes. In one of the attacks, at least two Palestinians were killed and a number of other wounded after Israeli warplanes struck the Sofa junction in the southern city of Rafah. In a separate strike, the regime’s warplanes hit a home in al-Nasr area, causing several fatalities. Earlier on Wednesday, members of an entire family were killed in the Israeli bombing of their home near the city of Khan Yunis. To northern Gaza, a dozen Palestinians lost their lives after the regime’s warplanes targeted a home near the Jabalia refugee camp. The Israeli aggression which began in October last year, has so far claimed the lives of over 42,400 Palestinians. More than 99,000 Palestinians have also been injured.

Iran top diplomat in Jordan

Iran’s foreign minister has called for greater cooperation among regional countries, specially the Islamic nations, to pressure Israel to end its crimes across Gaza and Lebanon. Abbas Araghchi made the remark during a meeting with the Jordanian King Abdullah the second in Amman. The top Iranian diplomat expressed concern over the critical situation of the displaced Lebanese and Palestinian people. He demanded the mobilization of all the capacities for the delivery of humanitarian aid and assistance to those in urgent need. The king of Jordan for his part expressed Amman’s determination for regional cooperation to ease the ongoing tensions and secure the regional stability. Earlier, Araghchi met with Jordan’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and current regional developments.
