Hezbollah ambush

Hezbollah says its fighters have ambushed a group of Israeli soldiers attempting to infiltrate the Lebanese territory, resulting in many casualties among them. Israeli forces attempted to infiltrate from behind a UNIFIL position near the village of Labboune when they were ambushed. Hezbollah says it's inflicted direct casualties on enemy soldiers and damaged their vehicles. The Israeli soldiers were forced to retreat behind the border wall. Heavy clashes between Hezbollah and IOF have been ongoing for weeks. At least 48 Israeli soldiers have been injured in 24 hours. Earlier, Hezbollah announced a retaliatory operation against Israel, targeting several positions, including settlements.


Lebanon worsening situation

The United Nations has warned that Lebanon could spiral into a similar scene of devastation as seen in Gaza. Matthew Hollingworth, Lebanon’s country director for the World Food Program says all necessary measures must be taken to stop the escalating conflict in the Arab country. Meanwhile James Elder, spokesman for UNICEF has warned that there have been commonalities between Gaza and Lebanon whether it is displacement, impact upon children or language being used to soften the realities on the ground. Israel has intensified its air strikes and ground invasion on Lebanon in the past two weeks, killing more civilians and displacing millions of Lebanese.


Tehran warns Tel Aviv

Iran’s foreign minister has warned Israel NOT to test Tehran’s will, saying any attack by the regime on the Islamic republic will be met with a harsher response. Abbas Araghchi made the remarks in the opening of a conference in Tehran. The Beginning of Nasrallah. Araghchi noted that Iran is continuously monitoring Israeli actions and will neither hurry nor delay in responding to them. He reaffirmed that Tehran will continue to stand by the axis of resistance to counter Israeli crimes. Later in the day the Iranian foreign minister traveled to Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, in the first leg of his regional tour. Araghchi will be meeting with officials of several neighboring countries to discuss the Israeli aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.
