Hezbollah retaliatory operations
Lebanon’s Hezbollah says it has attacked an Israeli military intelligence base near Tel Aviv. The resistance movement said it fired a barrage of missiles at the Glilot base of military intelligence unit 8200 on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. That was part of the movement’s Khaybar operations targeting the Israeli intelligence. Earlier in the day, Hezbollah repeatedly targeted gatherings of vehicles and personnel of the Israeli army near Lebanon’s borders. The movement also targeted several Zionist settlements north of occupied Haifa city and also in other regions with rockets. Hezbollah’s anti-Israel operations have been intensified in the wake of Israel’s savage bombardment of southern Lebanon and Beirut.
US-Israeli Gaza Genocide
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip continue to endure more attacks as the US-Israeli genocidal war on the blockaded territory enters its second year. 2 strikes hit houses in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The attacks killed over 20 Palestinians, including 5 children and 2 women, with many others injured. In a separate incident, 3 Palestinians were killed, and several others injured when tents for displaced Palestinians in the same camp were struck. On Monday evening, at least 8 Palestinian were killed after the regime shelled a group of civilians in the Jabalia refugee camp, north of Gaza. In Gaza City and Beit Lahia, 5 Palestinians were killed in strikes, with several others injured. The death toll from the ongoing conflict has now risen to over 41,900, with more than 97,000 others wounded.
US military aid for Israel
The US has supplied Israel with around 18 billion dollars in military aid since the genocide in Gaza began on October 7 last year. That’s according to a report by the American Brown University’s Costs of War project. The report says the expenditure includes four billion dollars towards replenishing Israel’s Iron Dome and David’s Sling missile defense systems, as well as cash for guns and jet fuel. It states that an additional five billion dollars in funding was supplied to US military operations in West Asia during that time frame. This figure includes the costs associated with the US military’s attacks on Yemen. Washington has also provided Israel with diplomatic support, preventing the UN from obliging the regime to end the genocide.
