Israel aggression against Lebanon

Israel has launched several waves of fresh airstrikes on Beirut’s southern neighborhood of Dahiyeh, as the regime’s unrelenting aggression against Lebanon continues. The regime has used powerful bunker buster bombs in its latest attacks, whose number was more than a dozen. Several civilian buildings were the main goals of the regime’s latest strikes. Reports indicate that more bombs were used in the latest attacks compared to the strike that killed the leader of the Hezbollah resistance movement, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, last Friday. The attacks also hit the vicinity of Beirut International Airport. According to Israeli media, the assassination of Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, was the main objective of the regime’s attacks. Israel’s strikes also targeted several other locations, including Hezbollah’s media relations office and a warehouse near the Beirut airport. Lebanon’s Health ministry says nearly 40 people were killed, and 151 others wounded in Israel's strikes in a matter of 24 hours. The regime has also issued evacuation orders for some areas in the Dahiyeh neighborhood.

Israel West Bank raids

Nearly 20 Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp. Palestinian sources say a senior member of the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas resistance movement, was assassinated in the strike. A number of civilians, including a woman, her husband, and their child were among those killed. Initial reports indicate that a popular café was the prime target of the strike. The number of fatalities is expected to rise as some victims are still under the rubble. Hamas condemned the attack as proof of Israel’s failure to weaken the resolve of Palestinians in ground operations. It added that the resistance in Tulkarm and the entire West Bank will remain unbreakable despite Israel’s brutality. Hamas also emphasized that Israel’s policy of assassinations will not deter Palestinians from the path of resistance against the occupation.

Slamming Israel 'bullying'

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman has condemned Israel’s measure to declare the secretary-general of the United Nations as persona non grata. Esmaeil Baghaei said the move is aimed at bullying Antonio Guterres, and forcing him to remain silent on the regime’s crimes. The spokesman added that Israel is the same regime whose former ambassador shredded the UN Charter in front of the entire world. Baghaei noted that Israel’s prime minister also abused the UN General Assembly’s podium to silence the whole world by threatening to cause more death and destruction. Stressing that any effort to appease a bully only leads to more bullying, the Iranian diplomat urged the Security Council to act on Israel’s crimes before it's too late. On Wednesday, Israel declared Guterres "persona non grata," accusing him of failing to condemn Iran's retaliatory missile strike against the regime.
