Israel war on media

Another Palestinian journalist has fallen victim to Israel’s onslaught on the Gaza strip, bringing to 160, the number of media workers killed since the start of the regime's genocide in early October. Gaza government’s media office says Mohamed Mishmish, the director of Al-Aqsa Voice Radio programs, has been killed in an Israeli attack in central Gaza. Mishmish, along with his son and 23 other civilians lost their lives in the strike on a school in Nuseirat refugee camp. Israel’s genocide in Gaza has taken an unprecedented toll on journalists. The international committee to protect journalists says the period from October 7th onwards has been the deadliest for media workers since it began gathering data in 1992.

'Israel collapse imminent'

The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement says Operation al-Aqsa Flood had many positive effects and reduced sectarian tensions imposed on the West Asia region. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah accused Western intelligence agencies of fueling sectarian strife in the region since a decade ago. He added that some countries that failed to support Palestinians in Gaza have been fomenting sectarian issues. Nasrallah said it is expected that after the al-Aqsa Flood battle ends in victory, Western intelligence agencies will work again to stir up sectarian discord in the region. The Hezbollah leader described what has happened in West Asia since 1948 as horrible corruption, adding that the Zionist enemy humiliated all Arabs with support of the West. Nasrallah asserted that the "cancerous tumor" of Israel will be eradicated by the current generation. He added that political scientists say Israel can only survive for a maximum of 80 years and its current conditions indicate the regime’s imminent collapse. Referring to Quranic verses, the Hezbollah leader said the end of Israel’s corrupt regime would come sooner rather than later. Nasrallah made the remarks during an address on the eve of the Day of Ashura in Lebanon.

Hezbollah retaliation

The Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, says it has launched a series of retaliatory attacks against Israeli positions after several Lebanese were killed in strikes by the regime. Hezbollah says it has fired a barrage of rockets targeting Israeli settlements in retaliation for recent air raids on southern Lebanon in which three Syrian children lost their lives. The group also said an Israeli military command headquarters in Beit Hillel barracks was targeted with Katyusha rockets. The attack comes in retaliation for an Israeli aggression on southern Lebanese villages that killed two civilians. Both sides have been trading near-daily fire along the Lebanese southern border ever since Israel launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October.
