US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Israeli strikes on Gaza claim more Palestinian lives and cause further destruction across the besieged strip. In a 24-hour period, Israeli forces have killed at least 40 Palestinians and injured over 220. In the latest attacks, Israel used its fighter jets, drones and artillery to pound several areas across the besieged strip, including refugee camps and a park in Gaza City. The attacks left more than a dozen Palestinians killed with many others injured, including women and children. Elsewhere in Gaza, three Palestinians were killed after an Israeli drone targeted them near the southern city of Rafah. The casualties continued to mount, with four civilians killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. The death toll from the U-S-Israeli genocide in Gaza has now risen to over 37,800.

Israel's West Bank settlements

International condemnation is pouring in following the Israeli regime’s announcement to expand its settlement activities in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Authority said the regime’s decision is part of its full-fledged war against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites. The European Union also strongly condemned the plan, labeling it as an illegal move that the bloc will not recognize. Germany also condemned the move as a danger to the security of all peoples in West Asia and a violation of international law. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also vehemently denounced the Israeli announcement, saying it is in line with the Zionist entity’s policy of genocide. Egypt and Qatar also condemned the Israeli expansion and called on the international community to stand together and do more to stop the regime's occupation.

Iran presidential vote

The Election Commission says the presidential vote heads to runoff as no candidate managed to garner enough votes to attain the country’s top executive post. The spokesperson for Iran's election headquarters, Mohsen Eslami, said the voters’ participation was at 40 percent, adding that more than 24-and-a-half million Iranians participated in the election on Friday. Four candidates were competing in the presidential vote. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who came third, has now released a statement, endorsing Saeed Jalili for the runoff. Campaigning for the second round of Iran’s presidential election will begin Sunday and continue until 4:30 GMT on Thursday. The runoff election is set to be held on Friday, July 5th.
