'Tragedy of humanity'

The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution has termed the tragedy of Gaza as the tragedy of humanity, which he says, exposes the invalidity of the current world order. Ayatollah Khameni said the withdrawal of Western powers and their influence from the Gaza crisis will solve the problem. He said, Palestinian fighters are capable of managing the battlefield. Ayatollah Khameni said, the governments should cut off their political ties, stop sending weapons and consumer goods to Israel. He said the people in different countries should pressure their respective governments to fulfill these objectives. Iran’s leader made the remarks while addressing a group of government officials, representatives and ambassadors of Islamic countries on the occasion Eid al-Mab'ath. In the meeting, several top Iranian governmental officials also addressed the audience.

'Humanitarian catastrophe'

The health ministry in the Gaza strip says that Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis is overwhelmed with a huge number of injured and starved Palestinians. Ashraf al-Qudra, Gaza’s Health Ministry spokesperson says Israeli siege and targeted attacks has made a “humanitarian catastrophe” in Nasser Hospital. The Palestinian official said that the 300 medical staff, 450 wounded, and 10,000 displaced people in the hospital are facing death and starvation. He added that the medical facility is also undergoing a severe shortage of anesthesia, intensive care medication and surgical supplies. Hospitals and medical centers have been among the main targets of Israeli regime since the beginning of the onslaught on Gaza, putting immense pressure on the besieged territory’s health system.

Yemen supports Gaza

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement says the targeting of Israel-linked ships in the red sea will continue until the regime stops its aggression and lifts the blockade on the Gaza Strip. Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi said acts by the US and some western countries that are protecting Israel’s aggression, will not prevent Yemen from targeting Israel-linked vessels. Al-Houthi once again rejected the US claim that Yemeni strikes are a threat to international shipping. He said it is the US and UK that have militarized the Red Sea. Al-Houthi added that despite all the support Israel has received, the Palestinian resistance has inflicted heavy losses on the regime’s forces. The Yemeni leader said Israel has failed to achieve any of its objectives in Gaza and has also failed in its bid to break the morale of Palestinian resistance fighters.
