Police crack down on environmental activists protesting against the A69 route

Gendarmes in southern France are dislodging activists, also known as Zadists, who are perched in the trees, as part of their campaigning against the construction of the A69 route connecting the towns of Castres and Toulouse.

There is still major concern over the A69 highway construction project in France, particularly among environmental groups like these with numerous protests happening over the last year.
