Iranian professional basketball club Petrochimi Bandar Imam has recorded its second win in a row at the West Asia Basketball League, overcoming Al Jaish basketball club of Syria.
On Friday, the Iranian sportsmen notched up a 60-55 victory over the Syrian squad in a match staged at the Saeb Salam Arena in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut.
Earlier, Petrochimi had defeated Palestinian club Sareyyet Ramallah 118-59 in its opener.
Petrochimi Bandar Imam basketball team will face Lebanon’s Al Riyadi in its last fixture on Saturday.
The West Asia Basketball League started in Lebanon on March 15, and will finish on March 17, 2018.
Petrochimi Bandar Imam, Palestinian Sareyyet Ramallah, Lebanon’s Al Riyadi and Al Jaish of Syria have taken part in the tournament.
