Iran is fully prepared to counter any threats to its national security, says the commander of the Army’s Ground Force, noting that all US interests in the region are within the operational reach of the country’s Armed Forces.

“No army could have carried out the strikes that Iranian missiles have launched against American targets in [the US-occupied] Ain al-Assad (Airbase in western Iraq) and Israel,” Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari said in a meeting with several Army commanders in the country’s southwest on Saturday.

He added that all American bases in the region are within Iran’s reach, emphasizing that the Armed Forces have the operational capability.

He warned that the enemy has waged a hybrid war against Iran, stressing the need to maintain the country’s full preparedness in the face of threats.

It is imperative to be cautious about offensive and defensive actions, the top commander said.

“The enemy’s hybrid and cognitive warfare aims to dominate minds and direct them towards illegitimate interests,” Heidari added.

He emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces must put ways to manage and confront such enemy’s approach on their agenda.

Earlier in January, the commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Force said the military unit is highly prepared to give a "crushing response" to any kind of threat.

"Today, the Army stands at the highest level of combat readiness and defense capability, and any threat posed by the enemies will be met with a crushing response," Heidari added.
