US-Israeli Gaza genocide

Israeli air and artillery strikes continue to ravage the besieged Gaza Strip, killing and injuring more Palestinian civilians in the latest round of attacks. One of the deadliest strikes targeted a building in Rafah, southern Gaza, killing 9 members of two families. In Khan Yunis, also in southern Gaza, an airstrike targeting the al-Mawasi refugee camp left several Palestinians dead and injured. In Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, at least 4 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli attacks. The city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, was also the target of deadly Israeli strikes, which left several people dead. According to the Gaza health ministry, the Israeli genocide has killed at least 51,000 Palestinians so far, leaving over 116,300 others injured. The death toll includes more than 1,400 medical personnel, while nearly 360 health workers have been abducted.

Israeli crimes in Gaza

Hamas has once again called on the international community to take immediate and decisive action to end Israel’s weeks-long blockade of Gaza. The movement warned that the occupying regime is systematically massacring innocent civilians. Hamas said for the seventh consecutive week, the fascist Israeli regime continues to block the entry of all essential life-sustaining supplies, including food, medicine, and fuel, into Gaza. Israeli forces are also targeting water wells and desalination plants, disrupting relief efforts, and obstructing food distribution centers. The movement said over two million people are subjected to daily massacres, which constitute a core element of deliberate and planned genocide. Hamas urged the UN and the international community to pressure Israel to end its collective starvation policy. Is also called on Arab and Islamic nations to intensify efforts to end the ongoing siege on Gaza. Hamas’ statement came after the UN agency for Palestinian refugees warned that the stocks that entered Gaza during the ceasefire have been depleted. UNRWA said no aid has arrived in Gaza for six weeks due to the ongoing Israeli blockade.

Slamming UN inaction on Gaza

A UN Special rapporteur has slammed the United Nations’ inaction in the face of Israeli crimes in Gaza. Francesca Albanese stressed that the world body is now fragmented and completely paralyzed in its ability to function as an organization. Albanese said international law has failed to stop the genocide in Gaza, not because of the limitations of the rules system, but because of the ineffective implementation mechanisms. She described the Israeli war of extermination on Gaza as the most sadistic and militarized war since the end of World War II. The UN rapporteur noted that dozens and hundreds of people are being killed in a matter of hours, and nothing is left. She warned that time is running out to save Palestinian civilians in Gaza from ethnic cleansing. Albanese emphasized that international law obliges all UN members not to recognize illegal occupation. She noted that the Israeli occupation, including its military components, settlements, control of natural resources, airspace, and borders, must end.
