Slamming anti-Iran IAEA resolution

Tehran has strongly condemned the adoption of an anti-Iran resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors as a politically motivated and unrealistic move. The announcement came in a joint statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. The statement censured the United States, France, Britain, and Germany for drafting the resolution in a confrontational and unjustified move. It said the resolution will destroy the positive atmosphere that governs Iran's relations with the IAEA while proving that its sponsors use Iran's peaceful nuclear program only as an excuse to achieve their illegitimate goals. According to the statement, Iran will take reciprocal actions, whose details have already been communicated to the IAEA chief. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran will also take a host of effective measures, including launching cascades of new and advanced centrifuges. Iran, however, emphasized that it will continue its technical cooperation with the UN nuclear agency within the framework of its rights and obligations and the Safeguards Agreement. The statement concluded by saying that Iran is ready for constructive interaction with all related parties in order to safeguard the rights and interests of the Iranian nation, while seriously pursuing the development of its peaceful and indigenous nuclear program.

Israel Lebanon aggression

The Israeli regime presses ahead with its brutal aggression against Lebanon, killing and injuring more civilians across the country. According to Lebanese officials, more than 50 civilians were killed and dozens more injured in the regime's latest strikes. Israeli strikes killed seven and injured 24 in the southern Nabatiyeh district, while five more lost their lives in strikes elsewhere in south Lebanon. Meanwhile, the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, were hit by at least 12 airstrikes, which were described by eyewitnesses as “very violent.” A number of civilians were killed and injured in those attacks. The regime’s strikes on 10 areas of the Baalbek region in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley killed at least 40 people and injured 52 others. Nearly a dozen more were killed in a raid on nearby Nabha. Since October last year, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have claimed the lives of over 3,500 civilians, leaving more than 15-thousand injured.

US-Israeli Gaza genocide

More civilians lose their lives in Gaza as Israel’s unrelenting air and artillery strikes continue to pound residential areas across the blockaded territory. Israeli drones killed a Palestinian woman and her daughter in the Jabaliya refugee camp, as well as two other children in Gaza City’s Tuffah neighborhood. In central Gaza, a helicopter attack killed two civilians in Deir al-Balah, while another attack on the Nuseirat camp resulted in five casualties. In the south, five civilians died and over 20 were wounded in the Mawasi area near Khan Yunis. Meanwhile, the regime’s strikes on medical facilities continued, with Israeli drones targeting medics who were helping the wounded at Kamal Adwan Hospital. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says northern Gaza is still suffering under a stifling siege and people have not received humanitarian aid for more than 40 days. The Israeli genocide has killed over 44,000 civilians so far, leaving over 104,200 others injured.
