Israeli 'ethnic cleansing'

The Palestinian foreign ministry says Israel is leading an ethnic cleansing campaign in the Palestinian territories. The ministry says the demolition of al-Bustan Association center in occupied East al-Quds is a case in point. It says Israel is seeking to demolish the entire al-Bustan neighborhood that will displace more than 1,500 Palestinians. The ministry described the move as an attempt to empty al-Quds of its original owners and to replace them with Israeli settlers. The ministry stressed that east al-Quds is an integral part of Palestinian territory, saying the city is the capital of the State of Palestine.

Unceasing Israeli atrocities

Two Palestinian prisoners die in Israeli custody due to what rights groups call ‘slow death’ policy of the regime. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Commission and the Prisoners Society announced the death of Sameeh Eleiwi from Nablus and Anwar Esleem from Gaza in Israeli custody. The prisoners, despite their deteriorating health conditions, endured harsh treatment imposed by Israeli authorities. Both Eleiwi and Esleem had experienced multiple imprisonments. More than 10-thousand-800 Palestinians have been detained in the occupied territories since the start of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza last year. Rights groups say Israel’s slow-death policy includes medical negligence, torture and deprivation of essential needs, which has led to the deaths of thousands of Palestinian abductees over the years.

Israel blocking Gaza aid

The UN has called on Israel to allow it unrestricted access to the Gaza strip in order to deliver aid to the besieged territory. The UN chief’s spokesperson said, according to international humanitarian law, civilians must be allowed to receive assistance wherever they are. Stephane Dujarric said that Israeli authorities continue to deny requests to access the hospitals in northern Gaza. According to Dujarric last week, all three attempts to deploy an international emergency medical team were blocked in the hospitals. North Gaza has been under an all-out siege for more than a month and people there have been ordered to evacuate. However, the Palestinians trying to go south have been targeted by Israeli snipers and drones.
