Iran has strongly condemned new Israeli strikes on Yemeni civilian facilities and energy reservoirs, stating that the attacks constitute a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter.

“These attacks, which have been engineered and carried out with the support and complicity of the US and Britain, are in violation of all international rules and regulations, particularly the UN Charter and international law,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Thursday.

Baghaei said repeated attacks by Israel, the US, and the UK on Yemen’s civilian infrastructure aid to prop up Israel in its "evil policy of destroying and weakening Muslim countries".

He also hit out at the UN inaction on increasing Israeli violations and crimes, stating that such conduct runs contrary to the world body’s responsibilities and obligations under its foundational treaty.

The spokesman also touched on the expansion of Israel’s aggression and land grabs in Syria and its ongoing genocide in Gaza, calling for the immediate action of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as well as regional and international institutions.

“These aggressions are a flagrant violation of international peace and security, and an undeniable crime against the heroic and honorable people of Yemen, who have so far spared no effort to support the oppressed people of Palestine against occupation and genocide,” Baghaei stressed.

The remarks came as Israeli airstrikes hit Sana’a international airport and other locations in Yemen on Thursday.

Reports said the airport was struck by “more than six” attacks with raids also targeting the adjacent al-Dailami air base,

A series of strikes were also carried out against a power station in Yemen’s strategic western port city of Hudaydah, the al-Masirah television channel reported.

The spokesman for Yemen's Ansarullah movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, called the strikes “a Zionist crime against all the Yemeni people.”
