Army chief warns Israel of Iran’s ‘stronger, more destructive’ response to any mistake
The chief commander of the Iranian Army says the Islamic Republic will give a “stronger and more destructive” response to Israel if it makes the mistake of reacting to Iran’s recent retaliatory operation against the regime.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi made the remarks on Sunday, five days after Iran launched hundreds of missiles toward the Israeli entity’s military, and espionage and intelligence bases all over the occupied territories as part of Operation True Promise II.
The operation came in response to the regime’s assassinations of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Brigadier General Abbas Nilforushan, the Deputy Commander for Operations of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).
Mousavi said Iran has so far fulfilled all its promises based on the orders of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
“We may be patient for a short time and endure the bitterness of self-restraint but we will definitely act,” Mousavi emphasized.
After Israel’s assassination of Nasrallah, the regime has been receiving heavy blows from Hezbollah, he noted.
The Iranian commander warned that those who perpetrated the act against the Hezbollah chief and caused grave grief in the hearts of the resistance front and all free and Muslim nations in the world will pay a heavy price soon.
Nasrallah was assassinated on September 27 during intense Israeli airstrikes on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut using US-provided weapons and munitions.
Israel has escalated its deadly attacks against Lebanon in recent weeks, especially on Beirut, where the regime assassinated the Hezbollah chief.
According to Lebanon’s health ministry, the Israeli offensives have so far claimed the lives of more than 2,000 people, including 127 children and 261 women.
Hezbollah has, on the other hand, been targeting the occupied Palestinian territories with numerous retaliatory operations.
