Fighters from Iraqi anti-terror groups have claimed responsibility for a series of drone and missile attacks on key targets across the Israeli-occupied territories in retaliation for the Tel Aviv regime’s ongoing aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, said in a statement published on its Telegram channel that it had struck three vital Israeli sites in the early hours of Saturday using kamikaze drones.

It said the operation was conducted in continuation of the struggle against the occupying Israeli regime, in support of Palestinians and the Lebanese nation, and in retaliation for the massacres that the usurping Zionist entity is perpetrating against women, children, and elderly people in the besieged territory as well as the Arab country.

The group noted that it will continue to target and destroy important installations across the occupied lands.

Later in the day, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced missile strikes on Israeli targets near the coastal city of Haifa and in the southern Israeli-occupied territories.

It noted that the operations were carried out with sophisticated Arqab cruise missiles.

Hezbollah fires rockets at Israeli air base near Haifa

Meanwhile, Hezbollah said its members launched Fadi-1 rockets on Saturday at the Israeli Ramat David air base near the coastal city of Haifa in the occupied lands, about 45 kilometers (30 miles) from the Lebanese border.

It announced in a statement that the attack was conducted “in support of steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip as well as their valiant and honorable resistance fighters, in defense of Lebanon and its nation, and in response to the barbaric Israeli violation against our cities, villages and civilians.”

The Lebanese group also said in a separate statement that its fighters targeted the illegal settlement of Sasa with two Falaq 2 missiles.

Moreover, an Israeli Merkava tank was hit with a guided missile while it was advancing towards al-Bat Heights. The strike caused casualties among the occupants of the tank.

Also on Saturday, Hezbollah said it fired barrages of rockets at the cities of Safed and Karmiel in response to the Israeli bombardment of Lebanese towns, villages and civilians.

Another attack was reported near the city of Sakhnin in the Lower Galilee region, where Hezbollah fighters launched a rocket barrage at the ATA military industries company.
