The leader of an Iraqi resistance group says Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's blood will not go in vain and will bring about the elimination of the Zionist regime off the face of the earth.

“We hold a very strong belief that the martyrdom of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will not be in vain and will pull off an impressive victory," Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq head Qais al-Khazali told al-Mayadeen television Friday.

"We, just like all other resistance forces across the region, especially in Iraq, stand united with our brethren in Lebanon until the ultimate victory is achieved,” he said.

Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq is part of Iraq’s anti-terror Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) or Hashd al-Sha’abi.

Nasrallah, who led the Hezbollah resistance movement for over three decades, was martyred on September 27 in the Israeli bombing of Beirut’s Dahiyeh suburb, using US-made jet fighters and bunker-buster bombs.

Khazali emphasized that “the price for the blood of martyr Nasrallah will be the eradication of Israel.”

He also commented on the regional developments following the 2020 assassination of Iran’s top anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport.

“His martyrdom is already yielding results. Among such results is the shrinking number of American forces in Iraq and elsewhere in the West Asia region,” Khazali noted.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of the country’s anti-terror movements, has been conducting numerous such operations against sensitive targets lying across the occupied territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime waged a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.

At least 41,788 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the brutal Israeli military onslaught so far and 96,794 others have been injured.

The coalition has also carried out retaliatory attacks against the US occupation bases across Iraq and neighboring Syria due to Washington’s unbridled political, military, and intelligence support for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
