The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has paid tribute to Hezbollah’s late secretary-general, stating that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah thwarted Israeli conspiracies and inflicted pretty humiliating defeats on the usurping regime.
“The Israeli enemy targeted Nasrallah with great hatred and malice; because of his great role in confronting the regime. He was fairly interested in the establishment of friendly and brotherly relations among Muslims and his efforts in this regard are notable and outstanding," Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said on Thursday evening during a televised speech broadcast live from the Yemeni capital Sana’a.
“Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah thwarted the Israeli enemy's plots and inflicted rather humiliating defeats on it. For that reason, the Zionist regime pursues fiendish and ambitious goals out of his assassination. It seeks to diminish the role of Hezbollah and the Lebanese front in standing up to the regime and supporting the Palestinian nation,” Houthi said.
He noted that Hezbollah has emerged as a strong and very effective front in confronting the Israeli enemy since its establishment nearly 40 years ago, and has achieved glorious and impressive victories in all previous stages.
“The Lebanese front played a primary role in supporting Palestinians in the face of Israeli atrocities,” he said, stressing that all brutalities of the Zionist regime are being carried out with the support of the United States.
The Ansarullah chief went on to state that the late Hezbollah leader had strong bonds with all sectors of the Lebanese society, and was highly popular among them.
Houthi said the Israeli regime used scores of heavy bombs to target Nasrallah in the Dahieh neighborhood of southern Beirut last week, because the late Hezbollah chief represented the most formidable obstacle to the advancement of its schemes in the region.
“Israel saw Sayyed Nasrallah as the biggest obstacle on its path to dominate the entire region and serve US interests,” he said, adding that the late Hezbollah leader stood by the causes of Muslims throughout all stages, including the oppression of Yemenis.
Houthi emphasized that criminal Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke of controlling the entire West Asia, not just Lebanon or Palestine, following the targeted killing of Nasrallah because he saw him as the greatest challenge to his plots.
He stated that the situation of Hezbollah did not change in the aftermath of Nasrallah’s martyrdom and its resistance fighters became more steadfast, determined and dedicated, much to the Zionist regime’s chagrin.
“Despite the great loss sustained as a result of the martyrdom of Hezbollah's secretary-general, the Lebanese resistance group’s path remains steadfast, solid, and active,” Houthi pointed out.
“The Israeli regime is hell-bent on regional domination,” Houthi continued to highlight, adding that “Hezbollah remains steadfast and resilient, and its popular base is cohesive and consistent.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Ansarullah leader praised Iran’s retaliatory missile attack, dubbed Operation True Promise II, against the Israeli-occupied territories.
“Iran carried out a largest missile strike against Israel since the occupation of Palestine,” he said.
On Tuesday evening, Iran responded to the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching as many as 200 ballistic missiles toward the Zionist regime’s military and intelligence bases all over the occupied Palestinian territories.
Flares and missiles were seen in the Tel Aviv sky and explosions could be heard in the occupied al-Quds during Operation True Promise II, while “direct hits” were reported in Negev, Sharon, and other locations.
