Hezbollah-Israel clashes

The Hezbollah resistance movement says it is fighting off Israeli forces trying to infiltrate Lebanon’s southern territories. The movement said it destroyed three Israeli Merkava tanks with rockets as the regime forces advanced toward the border village of Maroun al-Ras. The attack was the latest in a series of Hezbollah strikes against Israeli troops. Hezbollah said its fighters also clashed with Israeli troops who infiltrated Maroun al-Ras. The group targeted an Israeli unit with an explosive device as it was getting close to the village of Yaroun. Israeli soldiers were also forced to immediately retreat after they attempted to infiltrate the border village of Adaisseh. At least 1,000 people have so far been killed in Lebanon since the regime began its aggression two weeks ago. The Lebanese health ministry says 46 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Wednesday alone. Israel has also confirmed deaths of at least eight of its soldiers.

Iran retaliatory response

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has once again vowed a strong response to any further mistaken moves by Israel against Iran. He was speaking at a joint press conference with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Doha. Pezeshkian said if Israel took any mistaken step, Iran's response would be categorical and strong. He noted that Israel seeks to spread insecurity and crisis across the region and must be stopped. The Iranian president said Tehran does not seek war, but Israel forced it to react by assassinating resistance leaders. He said Iran showed restraint in the face of Israel’s atrocities, but it emboldened the regime to commit more crimes. Pezeshkian also touched on bilateral relations, saying Tehran and Doha are planning to further boost bilateral ties. The two countries signed six cooperation agreements in various economic, trade and cultural areas.

Israeli aggression on Lebanon

Nearly one year into the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza, more Palestinians are losing their lives as the regime’s indiscriminate air and artillery strikes pound the coastal territory. In one of the latest attacks, several people were killed and a number of others injured after Israeli helicopters targeted a tent housing displaced Palestinians inside a UN-run school in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. In a separate attack, Israeli warplanes struck a Palestinian home in the al-Shati refugee camp, killing and injuring several Palestinians. Earlier, nearly 20 people were killed and several others injured following an Israeli airstrike on the Muscat school, east of Gaza City. Israeli strikes also killed more than a dozen Palestinians in Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps, where another school was also hit. The regime’s artillery fire targeted areas in Gaza, killing an unknown number of people. The Israeli aggression has killed nearly 41,700 Palestinians since last October, leaving over 96,600 injured.
