Israeli ground, air attacks kill 51 more Palestinians in Gaza

Israel has killed 51 more Palestinians, including women and children, across the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said more than 80 were also injured in Khan Yunis early Wednesday.

Records at the European Hospital show that seven women and 12 children, as young as 22 months old, were among those killed.

Residents said Israel had carried out heavy airstrikes as its ground forces staged an incursion into three neighborhoods in Khan Yunis.

Mahmoud al-Razd, a resident who said four relatives were killed in the raids, described heavy destruction.

“The explosions and shelling were massive,” he was quoted as saying. “Many people are thought to be under the rubble, and no one can retrieve them.”

Over the course of the genocidal campaign, Israeli forces have repeatedly returned to areas of Gaza where they have previously fought Hamas and other Resistance groups.

People arriving at Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah in Gaza are reported to have critical injuries.

The lack of medical supplies also makes it very hard for doctors to save lives.

Since October 2023, Israel has killed nearly 41,700 Palestinians in Gaza.

Malnutrition, lack of medicine and other basic necessities are also taking their toll on the Gaza population.
