Iraqi resistance launches missile attack on Israeli military target

Iraq's Islamic Resistance conducted a missile attack on the Israeli military in the occupied Palestinian territories on Monday morning.

Iraq's Islamic Resistance has conducted a missile attack on an Israeli military target in the occupied Palestinian territories.

On Monday morning, the anti-terror group targeted various parts of the occupied territories with al-Arqab missiles. There were no immediate reports of possible casualties.

Earlier on Sunday evening, the Iraq Resistance carried out new attacks on Israeli positions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a statement, the umbrella group of resistance factions said it targeted several Israeli military targets in the Jordan Valley using drones.

The resistance group said most of the drones hit their targets as Israeli defense systems failed to intercept many of them.

“In continuation of our path in resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, at this dawn of Sunday 22-9-2024, attacked a target in the Jordan Valley in our occupied lands using the ‘Al-Arfad’ drone. This marks the fifth attack today,” the statement said.

“The Islamic Resistance confirms the continuation of operations in striking the enemy's strongholds with increasing intensity,” the statement added.

For the first time since the onset of the Gaza war, sirens were sounded in the occupied city of Bisan, signifying the intensity of the attack.

Also on Sunday morning, fighters from Iraqi anti-terror resistance groups separately launched drone and missile strikes against strategic targets in the 1948 Israeli-occupied territories in retaliation for the brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, in a statement published on its Telegram channel, claimed responsibility for the aerial attack on a “vital” site in the occupied lands.

It said the drone strike was carried out in continuation of the struggle against the occupying Israeli regime, in support of Palestinians in Gaza, and in retaliation for the massacres that the usurping Zionist entity is perpetrating against women, children and the elderly in the besieged territory.

The Iraqi resistance has ramped up its anti-Israeli operations in support of Palestinians and in response to the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The group has also targeted American facilities in Iraq and Syria in recent months amid growing anger over the US support for Israel's devastating war on Gaza.

Israel has been waging an atrocious onslaught against the Gaza Strip, targeting hospitals, residences, and houses of worship after Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, on October 7.

At least 41,391 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children, and another 95,760 individuals have sustained injuries in Gaza so far. More than 1.7 million people have been internally displaced during the war as well.
