The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)’s Ground Force says the Israeli regime is accountable for the acts of sabotage and terrorist attacks targeting Iran’s border areas.

Speaking on Sunday, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said a review of the moves at Iran’s boundaries shows that the enemies have hatched plots and strengthened hostile groups along the country’s borders.

“According to investigations, the Zionist regime supports the sabotage teams acting along the Iranian borders and the terrorist operations against the outposts [of the Iranian forces],” he added.

The commander pointed to “fundamental changes” in the tactics and the strategy of war and stressed the need to improve the IRGC units in full proportionate to the existing conditions.

In the modern wars, Pakpour noted, terrorists and anti-revolutionary elements use individuals or even equipment which are completely different from those in the past.

He said micro aerial vehicles and smart weapons play a “determining” role in the modern wars.

The enemy will definitely make a revision in its sinister goals if it encountered a fully prepared IRGC.

The IRGC has in the recent years carried out extensive plans to improve security along the country’s border provinces and underprivileged areas. It has managed to fight off terrorist teams affiliated with militant groups in the neighboring countries.
