Aug 20: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed nearly 40,200 Palestinians so far, the majority of them children, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The major operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Tuesday, August 20, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on Aug 20:

• Engaged in combat with Israeli special forces unit at point-blank range using hand grenades and machine guns in the Canada area of Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip.
• Targeted Israeli forces fortified inside a house next to Al-Qadisiya School with a TBG shell in the western camp of Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
• Targeted and destroyed a "Merkava" tank with an Al-Yassin 105 shell near Al-Quds Open University in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Aug 20:

• In a joint operation with Omar Al-Qasim Forces and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, targeted supply lines of the Israeli military in the Netzarim axis surrounding the "Turkish Hospital" with 107mm rockets and mortar shells.
• Targeted the gathering of Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles that were advancing in the vicinity of Omar Al-Agha School in the Al-Qarara area, northeast of Khan Younis city, southern Gaza Strip, with a barrage of mortar shells.
• Detonated a pre-prepared high-powered Rabie-1 explosive device on a convoy of Israeli military vehicles storming the Aqaba Junction axis in Tayaseer, Tubas, occupied West Bank.
• Ambushed an Israeli force near Al-Salam Mosque and opened fire at them in the city of Nablus, occupied West Bank.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades’ operations on Aug 20:

• Launched an anti-armor shell at a "Namer" armored personnel carrier in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood near the Red Housing in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
• In a joint operation with the Martyr Abdulqader Al-Husseini Brigades, sniped an Israeli soldier holed up in a home in Yabna camp in the central of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
• In a joint operation with the Al-Quds Brigades and the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces, bombed the supply line in the "Netzarim" axis surrounding the Turkish Hospital with 107mm missiles and mortar shells.
• In a joint operation with the Martyr Abdulqader Al-Husseini Brigades, blew up an Israeli military Merkava 4 Baz tank with a highly explosive "Yasser 2" bomb, around the Al-Qadisiyah intersection in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip.
• Targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles in the Al-Qarara area northeast of the city of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, with mortar shells.
• Targeted command and control headquarters of the Israeli military in the "Netzarim" axis with two 107 mm missiles and heavy-caliber mortar shells.

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces’ operations on Aug 20:

• In a joint operation with Al-Quds Brigades and Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, targeted supply lines of the Israeli military in the "Netzarim" axis surrounding the “Turkish Hospital” with 107mm rockets and mortar shells.

Al-Asifah Forces’ operations on Aug 20:

• Targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in the "Netzarim" axis with 107mm rockets.

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces’ operations on Aug 20:

• Detonated an anti-personnel explosive device on Israeli soldiers in the Al-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.

Martyr Abdulqader Al-Husseini Brigades’ operations on Aug 20:

• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers around the Hamad city area.
• Targeted the Israeli military’s command and control site in the "Netzarim" axis with two 107 mm rockets.

Hezbollah’s operations on Aug 20:

• The command center of the Golan Division 210 in the Nafah site and the armored brigade of Division 210 in the Yarden site were targeted with rockets.
• The Branit site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• The headquarters of Division 146 in Jaatoun was targeted with Katyusha rockets.
• The surveillance equipment at the Jal Al-Alam site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• The Marj site was targeted with rockets.
• The Ramia site was targeted with artillery shells.
• The Shoumera site was targeted with Katyusha rockets.
• The Metat site was targeted with Katyusha rockets.
• The command center of the 7th Armored Brigade of the Golan Division 210 in the Katzavia site was targeted with drones.
• The Ya’ara site was targeted with Katyusha rockets.
• The Birkat Risha site was targeted with artillery shells.
• A surface-to-air missile was launched against a warplane that violated the Lebanese airspace, forcing it to retreat.

Islamic Resistance in Iraq’s operations on Aug 20:

• Targeted a vital military site in the occupied Um Al-Rashrash "Eilat" with a drone.
