A United Nations official has slammed the United States for funding the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Following the Israeli regime forces' brutal attack on Al-Tabi'een school in the Gaza Strip, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca P. Albanese, denounced the "ballooning" US funding of Israeli genocide of Palestinian people.

In a tweet on Sunday, the Italian international lawyer and academic said the US support for the Israeli regime's months-long genocide of defenseless Palestinian people trapped in the besieged Gaza Strip has emboldened the Tel Aviv forces to use more lethal weapons than before.

“US funding of Israeli #Genocide is ballooning as the Israeli army uses ever more lethal bombs. The ones used yesterday in the #AlTabinSchool massacre sliced bodies to the point of making them unrecognizable. They are now identified by weight: 70kg bag = 1 adult. Revolting.”

She described the "unrecognizable" remains in plastic bags of the Palestinians killed in the Israeli attack as "revolting".

In another tweet the day before, she had described Gaza as “the largest and most shameful concentration camp of the 21st century.”

“Israel is genociding the Palestinians one neighborhood at the time, one hospital at the time, one school at the time, one refugee camp at the time, one ‘safe zone’ at the time,” Albanese tweeted.

She pointed out that the Israeli regime's strike on the school took place just hours after news that the US was preparing to give $3.5 billion to Tel Aviv to purchase more weapons and ammunition from the United States.

The Israeli war machine started the genocide of Gazans on October 7, when the ruling Hamas movement carried out a retaliatory operation against the occupying Israeli regime for killing Palestinian people and taking their land.

Nearly 40,000 Palestinians have since been killed, most of them women and children.

Albanese wrote on X that the international community has failed to stop Tel Aviv due to Washington's unwavering support for the regime.

“May the Palestinians forgive us for our collective inability to protect them, honoring the most basic meaning of [international] law,” she noted.
