Gaza ceasefire talks
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has denied reports that it has halted ceasefire talks due to the recent Israeli massacres in Gaza. The movement said the reports, which have cited a Hamas official, are in fact "untrue." It added that Israel's recent barbaric escalation in Gaza aims to derail the current efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh has reportedly told international mediators that the movement is ready to resume negotiations. Haniyeh noted that the regime must demonstrate seriousness in reaching a ceasefire agreement and a prisoner exchange deal.
Iran supports Palestine
Iran’s President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed his country’s support for Palestine, saying the Islamic Republic would spare no efforts to end the Israeli genocide in Gaza. In a phone call with Hamas chief, Ismail Haniyeh, Pezeshkian said his government will put the Palestinian issue on the top of its priorities and will never leave the Palestinian people alone. He also strongly condemned the recent Israeli massacre in the al-Mawasi refugee camp in Khan Yunis, which killed more than 90 civilians. He said the attack is yet another indication of Israel's willingness to continue its genocide in Gaza. Haniyeh, for his part, said the recent Israeli massacres come despite Hamas’ positive stance on ceasefire talks. He said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has set new conditions for talks, which confirm his desire to continue the war on Gaza. Haniyeh called for more political and diplomatic efforts toward a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Yemen anti-Israel operations
Yemen’s Armed Forces have carried out fresh anti-Israel operations in response to Saturday’s massacre by the regime in Gaza’s al-Mawasi refugee camp. The Yemeni Armed Forces hit an Israeli ship in the Gulf of Aden, using a number of ballistic missiles and drones. A number of Israeli military positions were also targeted in the Umm al-Rashrash area in the southern part of the occupied Palestinian territories. According to Sana’a, the operations were carried out successfully. Yemen’s Armed Forces have urged the Arab and Islamic armies to fulfill their duties towards Palestinians. Sana’a also expressed its readiness to launch joint military operations with any Arab or Islamic party in support of the oppressed Palestinian people. The Yemeni Armed Forces vowed that they will continue their operations as long as the Gaza genocide and the siege of the Palestinian territory continue.
