US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Israel’s deadly air and artillery strikes continue to rock the Gaza Strip, where more than eight months of war has left nothing but a trail of death and destruction. The latest Israeli attack has targeted a residential building in northern Gaza, killing at least six Palestinians. In central Gaza, Israeli airstrikes claimed the lives of two civilians in Wadi Gaza Bridge, while 17 others died in airstrikes on al-Bureij and al-Nusierat refugee camps. The Palestinian health ministry says in a matter of 24 hours, over two dozen civilians have been killed, and 80 others injured across the strip. Since early October, the death toll from the regime’s genocidal war has topped 37,370, most of them women and children.

Starvation in Gaza

Palestinian officials in Gaza warn of a rapidly spreading state of famine as the Israeli regime prevents humanitarian aid reaching the besieged strip. The Government Media Office blamed the Israeli regime and the US administration for enforcing a policy of starvation against Gaza children and patients. It also warned the Israeli-imposed restrictions are directly threatening the lives of 2.4 million Palestinians in the besieged strip. According to the office, currently 3,500 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition and lack of vaccinations. The Government Media Office said Israel and the US must be held accountable for the consequences of the crimes committed in the besieged strip.

Gaza war environmental damage

A new UN report sheds light on the environmental impact of the Israeli war in the besieged Gaza Strip with researchers warning about the water situation in the Palestinian territory. The new UN assessment says that the water and sanitation systems in Gaza are almost completely out of function due to the damage caused by the Israeli war. According to the report, Israeli explosives have left behind nearly 40-million tons of debris which could take 14 years to clear. Over seven decades of Israeli occupation have already posed major environmental challenges in the Palestinian territories. The UN says this long occupation has brought unprecedented damage to Gaza’s soil, water and air which will impact Gazans for decades to come.
