The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry has condemned the latest remarks by a former Israeli military intelligence officer about disintegrating the country, stressing that the Tel Aviv regime’s criminals will never see their pipe dream come true.
Nasser Kan’ani made the remarks in a post published on X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday in reaction to the comments by Mordechai Kedar, who suggested a regime change in Iran through instigation of ethnic minorities.
Kedar, who is now a lecturer at Bar-Ilan University and the vice president of NEWSRAEL newsfeed, wrote in an op-ed article for the English-language newspaper The Jerusalem Post on March 13 that Iran should be disintegrated into five to six ethnic states.
“Such comments explicitly reveal the sinister intentions of cruel enemies against our dear Iran. This is not the first time that the Zionist enemy has exposed its inner feelings in such a brazen way. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been subjected to these remarks for more than four decades. It, nevertheless, continues its honorable life more vigorously than ever,” Kan’ani said in response.
He added that Israeli authorities should be reminded that nearly 250,000 people, who hailed from various ethnic groups, have sacrificed their lives over the past 45 years for the Islamic Republic to maintain its integrity and strongly safeguard every iota of its territory.
“Those who lost their lives for the glory and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran were men and women who came from northern, southern, eastern, western and central parts of the country with various ethnic backgrounds,” Kan’ani stated.
“Zionist criminals, who have buckled under the force of a popular movement in the Gaza Strip and are wantonly massacring women and children in order to compensate for their irreparable defeats, will never live to see their pipe dream of disintegrating Iran fulfilled,” the spokesman for the Iranian foreign minister emphasized.
