Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, to attend the 55th regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) and the high-level segment of the Conference on Disarmament.
Heading a diplomatic delegation, Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Geneva early on Monday. He is scheduled to deliver speeches at the two high-level meetings and outline Iran’s stance on the issues.
The top Iranian diplomat will also take part in a UN-sponsored meeting on Palestine to elaborate on the country’s position regarding Israel’s genocidal war against the people of Palestine in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which started in October.
Amir-Abdollahian plans to hold meetings with a number of his counterparts and senior officials of the UN.
Dignitaries representing more than 110 member states will address the Human Rights Council session.
