Iran slams West’s rights approach
Iran's human rights chief has strongly criticized two French and German rights officials for their calls to release a convicted prisoner in Iran. Kazem Gharibabadi was reacting to a tweet by France’s human rights ambassador, Delphine Borione, in which, she also mentioned concern of her German counterpart. The Iranian official condemned a selective approach of the two European nations regarding their so-called human rights concerns. Gharibabadi reminded his European colleagues that the perpetrators of attacks by the anti-Iran MKO terror group are roaming freely in France and Germany. Yemen’s retaliatory operation against UAE
The Yemeni army says it has conducted a fresh retaliatory operation deep inside the United Arab Emirates. In a tweet, spokesman for the army, Yahya Saree said the details on the operation will be revealed within the next few hours. The Yemeni operation comes amid Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s visit to the UAE. Israel's intelligence officials have reportedly advised Herzog to immediately leave Abu Dhabi. The Yemeni army had previously struck several targets inside the UAE with drones and ballistic missiles. The repeated Yemeni strikes are in retaliation for the Saudi-led war, in which the UAE is an active partner. Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis, mostly civilians have been killed since the war began in 2015.
