American political pundit Myles Hoenig has predicted a rude transition if Donald Trump loses to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
Despite Trump claiming that he wanted a "smooth, beautiful transition" after Election Day, Hoenig expects Trump not to be gracious and make efforts to wreak chaos if Biden wins.
According to Hoenig, it was difficult to predict what Trump would do if he loses to Biden.
"All transitions between presidents are based on the personalities of both parties, whether it be of the same or different," he said.
However, Hoenig, who is a former Green Party candidate for Congress, said one should not expect a smooth and gracious transition from the 74-year-old president.
"Graciousness is not in Trump’s DNA," Hoenig pointed out in an interview with Press TV on Saturday.
Hoenig predicted that Trump's handover to Biden to be rude and crude.
"More likely a tweet, and a middle finger of a tweet, for sure," he said.
Hoenig said that Senate will be responsible for making many of the presidential appointments.
"If Trump loses bad, or even acknowledges the loss and ‘prepares’ in his own way for his transition back to civilian, and likely litigious life, the Senate would be responsible for many of Biden’s appointees," he said.
Meanwhile, experts predict Biden, who has already set up his transition team, to win the tight presidential race between the two candidates.
In the meantime, Trump appears to have lost the support of "essential" voting groups needed to clinch his reelection.
Presidential election expert and history professor Allan Lichtman, who co-developed the Keys to the White House system of predicting American presidential elections, has said Biden had a slight advantage over Trump.
Lichtman noted, however, that he was confident Biden will win the election. Polls also back the expert's prediction.
