Iranian archers have displayed awe-inspiring performances at the 2017 Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament, Stage II and World Games 2017 Wroclaw Archery Qualification in Thialnd, and managed to collect two gold medals at the event.
On Friday, Iran’s 40-year-old athlete Esmaeil Ebadi competed in the final match of the men's individual compound section in Archery Range of the Sports Authority of Thailand, Bangkok, and scored 147 points to snatch gold.
Mohd Juwaidi Mazuki of Malaysia received the silver medal with a total score of 146 points.
Parisa Baratchi overcame her Philippine opponent Amaya Amparo Cojuangco by 146 points to 141 in the women's individual compound final, and earned the second gold medal for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran’s compound mixed pair of Ebadi and Baratchi also earned a bronze, when they faced opponents from Russia and emerged victorious 151-145.
The 2017 Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament, Stage II and World Games 2017 Wroclaw Archery Qualification kicked in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 19 and will finish on March 26.
