Five civilians have been killed and 21 others injured across the eastern and northern parts of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad in seven terrorist explosions in different neighborhoods.

The separate terrorist blasts occurred on Monday and the Daesh terrorist group is suspected.

Two people were killed and four others wounded in an explosion in the Kasra-Wa-Atash district of eastern Baghdad while another blast caused by an explosive trap in the Saba’ Qosour area of the same part of the city left one civilian killed and injured three more.

Another blast in the Ur neighborhood in eastern Baghdad led to the wounding of three residents. One person was also killed and three others injured when a magnetic bomb exploded inside a vehicle on Qanat street in the Ziona district of eastern Baghdad.

Moreover, another explosive trap was detonated beneath the al-Banouk Bridge in the Cairo neighborhood of northern Baghdad, leaving one person killed and another civilian wounded.

The report further added that, in a similar incident in the New Baghdad neighborhood east of the capital, two more people had been injured.

The explosion of another magnetic bomb in the Zafarania area of southeastern Baghdad also left an individual wounded. Four other civilians were injured in the Mashtal neighborhood east of the city when an explosive device was set off by terrorist.

The terror attacks in the Iraqi capital came following a brief lull in deadly bombings there as Iraqi troops continue to battle Daesh militants in their offensive to recapture Mosul and other areas from the Takfiri terror group.
