Iran’s physically-challenged sportswoman Somayyeh Abbaspour has earned a spot in the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
On Wednesday and durgin the Czech Target 2016/ Paralympic Qualification Tournament in the Czech Republic, Abbaspour competed in the women’s individual compound competition at the Sports Club Nove Mesto nad Metuji in Nove Mesto nad Metuji, the Islamic Republic of Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled website reported.
She gave her best shot in the repechage to stand in the third place ahead of a representative from the United States, and won the ticket for the Olympics.
The Czech Target 2016/ Paralympic Qualification Tournament started in Nove Mesto nad Metuji on June 11 and run through June 20.
The tournament has brought together 253 male and female Paralymic archers from 48 countries, including Iran, Singapore, Thailand and the United States.
