Iran’s female sports shooter Golnoush Sebghatollahi has collected a silver medal at the Olympic Games Training Camp in France.
On Tuesday, Sebghatollahi finished in the second place at the end of the individual women’s 25-meter pistol M2 contests in Volmerange-les-Mines with 576 points.
Stephanie Tirode, a representative from France, accumulated 578 points to claim the top position and clinch the gold.
Zsofia Csonka from Hungary settled to the bronze, having racked up 586 points overall.
The Olympic Games Training Camp started in Volmerange-les-Mines on June 9 and wrapped up on June 14.
Dozens of male and female sports shooters from 20 countries, including the Czech Republic, France, Iran, Italy, Poland and the United States, took part in the tournament.
Sebghatollahi won the tickets for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 2016 Asian Olympic Shooting Qualifying Tournament in India.
On January 28, the Iranian markswoman vied for the top honor in the women’s 10-meter air pistol event at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi, finishing fourth in the overall ranking. Heena Sidhu, 26, of India, struck gold and booked her berth in the August Rio Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a score of 199.4 points. Tien Chia Chen from Chinese Taipei earned 198.1 points and took silver. The bronze medal went to South Korea's Gim Yun Mi with 177.9 points.
