Iran’s national B youth beach volleyball team has claimed the third place at the first edition of Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships in Laos after breezing past Iran’s A squad.
Iran B’s pair of Alireza Aghazani and Ali Shahbazi demonstrated praiseworthy agility and liveliness throughout their last fixture in the capital city of Vientiane on Sunday, and trounced Iran’s national A youth beach volleyball outfit, comprised of Mohammad Reza Hazratpour and Salar Ghanidel, in two straight sets 21-17 and 21-13.
Earlier, Iran’s national B youth beach volleyball team had secured its place at the forthcoming FIVB U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Cyprus after managing to propel to the semifinal round of Laos championships.
The first edition of Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships in Laos started in Vientiane, Laos, on May 20 and finished on May 22.
The 14th edition of U19 Beach Volleyball World Championships of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball will be held between July 26 and 31 in the Cypriot city of Larnaca.
