Israel has launched a new wave of air strikes through its fighter jets that have targeted the central areas of the Gaza Strip, including its southern city Khan Yunis where more than 20 Palestinians have been killed, along with regime snipers stationed across the city.

Media reports say the casualties were caused by Israeli shelling of tents in the Al-Mawasi area, which the regime had designated as a humanitarian safe zone.

World Health Organization Director-General says he is “deeply concerned” after Israeli forces stormed one hospital and put another under siege as they advanced deep into western Khan Younis in Gaza.
