The Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement has strongly condemned new Israeli airstrikes on Sana'a International Airport and other targets in Yemen, warning that the regime will face a "harsh and crushing" response to its military aggression.

Hizam al-Assad, a member of Ansarullah’s political bureau, stated on Thursday that Yemeni people are engaged in an intense battle being waged by the occupying Israeli regime, the United States and Britain.

He emphasized that Yemeni Armed Forces have many military option against Israel on the table.

“The Zionist regime must await a harsh and crushing response from Yemen to its latest aggression,” Assad stated.

According to the latest figures, at least six civilians were killed and 40 others sustained injuries on Thursday as Israeli strikes targeted the airport, military facilities and power stations in Yemen’s capital Sana’a and the western port city of Hudaydah.

Ansarullah: Yemenis won’t withdraw support for Palestine

The spokesman for Ansarullah movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, also stressed that the strikes will not force Yemen to withdraw support for Palestine.

"If the Zionist enemy thinks that its crimes will stop Yemen from supporting Gaza, it is delusional, and Yemen will not abandon its religious and humanitarian principles," Yemen's Saba News Agency quoted him as saying on Thursday.

"Zionists’ strikes against Sana’a airport and other civilian installations in Yemen constitute a grave crime against our nation,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the political bureau of the Ansarullah movement said the Yemeni Armed Forces are ready “to confront escalation with escalation.”

Stressing that Yemeni forces are prepared to respond swiftly to Israeli aggression, Ansarullah said Sana’a is willing to defend itself against the onslaught no matter the cost.

The resistance movement stated that such Israeli strikes and attacks against Yemen “will not deter” the nation from supporting Palestinians and their resistance fighters in Gaza.

The strikes that targeted civilian infrastructure, including the Sana’a Airport, ports, and power stations, exposed the extent of “Israeli and American criminality,” the Ansarullah’s political bureau noted.

The comments come as Israeli media reported that air raid sirens have sounded over a large part of the occupied territories following a missile attack from Yemen early on Friday.

According to spokesman for the armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the armed forces will issue an important statement in the coming hours.
