The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called on the Islamic countries and the United Nations agencies to fully realize the urgency of bringing an end to Israel’s ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Hamas said Israeli actions “are carried out under the full cover and protection of the American administration and some Western capitals.”

Hamas said Israel is exercising utter disregard for international law “in light of the shameful failure of the international system to put an end to these horrific crimes.”

Elsewhere in the statement, Hamas said the Israeli regime insists on the continuation of its barbarism by bombing Palestinian homes in Beit Lahiya and attempts at displacement, along with the targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the north.

Israel has said it will solidify the siege of Jabalia.

Hamas called for the implementation of the ICC arrest warrants issued against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ousted war minister Yoav Gallant.

Earlier this month, the tribunal said it had faced “coercive measures, threats, pressure, and acts of sabotage” after issuing the warrants.

The United States has threatened to subject the court’s staff to sanctions both in the run-up to issuance of the verdicts and afterwards.

Washington’s protective pose in favor of the regime comes at a time Israel has massacred more than 44,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in Gaza in a time span of more than one year.
