Islamic Resistance in Iraq conducts back-to-back attacks on vital Israeli targets
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, has conducted two separate but consecutive attacks on Israeli targets inside the occupied territories.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq said in a statement that it launched a drone attack on a “vital target in the south of the occupied territories” on Sunday.
Also on Sunday, the group said in another statement that it carried out an attack on “a military target in the south of the occupied territories, using drones.”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq stressed that the attacks came “in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including women, children and the elderly.”
The movement also vowed to continue to conduct attacks on Israeli targets “at an increasing pace.”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been conducting such operations against sensitive targets lying across the occupied territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime began a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip.
At least 44,211 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed and 104,567 others injured in the brutal Israeli military onslaught so far.
Israel has also been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched the war on the Gaza Strip.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.
Since late September, Israel has escalated its strikes against Hezbollah that began after the start of the war on Gaza, killing hundreds of people.
At least 3,754 people have been killed by Israeli fire, and 15,626 others wounded since the clashes began last year, according to the health ministry.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has also carried out retaliatory attacks against the bases of the US occupation forces across Iraq and neighboring Syria over Washington’s unbridled political, military, and intelligence support for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
