Paris march in support of Palestine women

Paris Palestine rally

A rally held in Paris on Saturday 23rd November 2024 was dedicated to all female victims of war with a special tribute to mark the upcoming United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

In Gaza, women and girls account for more than 1/3 of civilians killed or wounded in Israel's relentless onslaught in Palestinian territory.

Even if you're not a believer, Jewish, Christian, no matter who you are; this is not acceptable for anyone.

So, yeah, kids are kids. Civilians are civilians, and I saw them suffering about many things, operating (on) them without anesthetics or anything.

This is horrible for anyone, for anyone.

Women's rights groups and several NGOs joined the pro-Palestinian associations in a well-attended demonstration calling for freedom of choice and liberty for women everywhere.

Organizers at the rally also expressed their satisfaction that Israeli Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, canceled his highly controversial private visit to the French capital to attend a gala whose main aim was to raise funds for Israel and its military.

I don't want Nazis to come in France, to come in Paris, to make propaganda for the genocide in Gaza.

So I'm glad they didn't come. But the gala, the gala happened, and that's really, really sad.

I am really ashamed of the fact that this gala happened in France.

Last week's secretive Gala was held in a pavilion owned by high-end French pastry maker Ladurée.

Consequently, Ladurée has now been added to the list of companies that NGOs are asking the public to boycott over their ties to Israel, which they accuse of genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza and Lebanon.
