Hezbollah missiles hit two major Israeli military bases

The Hezbollah resistance movement continues its retaliatory operations against Israel, targeting the regime’s major military bases and settlements deep inside the occupied territories.

In one of its latest operations on Thursday, Hezbollah targeted the regime’s Stella Maris naval base, northwest of Haifa, with rockets.

The base is crucial in the Israeli army’s naval monitoring and control operations.

The Eliakim base, south of Haifa, was also hit with missile barrages.

“The Islamic resistance targeted the ‘Eliakim’ base (which contains training camps affiliated with the Northern Region Command of the ‘Israeli’ enemy army) south of the occupied city of Haifa, with a qualitative missile barrage,” Hezbollah said.

The group said its rocket salvos hit the settlements of Manara, Kiryat Shmona, and Krayot, north of Haifa.

Hezbollah said that “as part of the warning issued by the Islamic Resistance to many northern settlements, at 04:30 pm, Thursday 07-11-2024, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted the ‘Manara’ settlement with a rocket barrage.”

Hezbollah fighters also ambushed an Israeli infantry force, which was trying to advance towards the town of Yaroun, killing and wounding a number of its members.

The movement also targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers in a number of settlements, including Sa'ar, Shoumera, Yiftah, and Doviv with barrages of rockets.

In two separate statements on Thursday, Hezbollah announced a missile attack on the Yiftah military base and an ambush laid for a group of Israeli troops planning to advance to the village of Yaroun. A number of Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded, it said.

Israel launched a ground assault and massive air campaign against Lebanon in late September after a year of exchanging fire across the Lebanese border in parallel with the Gaza war.

More than 3,000 people have been killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon over the last year, the vast majority in the past six weeks.

A recent UN report said the attacks have claimed the lives of more than 3,000 people, which was “58 percent more than the 1,900 fatalities” that were caused by the regime’s 2006 war against Lebanon.

In response to the aggression, Hezbollah has been staging hundreds of retaliatory strikes against the occupied Palestinian territories and the Israeli forces trying to advance on southern Lebanese areas.

The movement has vowed to sustain its strikes until the regime ends the escalation.
